About Me
I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from UCLA (1981) and a Master of Arts Degree in Counseling from St. Mary's College (2008). It is my belief and experience that growth, change, and healing are best realized in a supportive, understanding environment. My warm and encouraging style helps clients discover their personal interests, abilities, and passions that may be hidden through years of codependence, self-sacrifice, or abuse and leads them to a renewed sense of empowerment and positive change. I am passionate about working with people in all phases of life as they seek to develop a cohesive and meaningful identity and life experience - I continually marvel at the privilege it is to walk with someone on their journey of self-exploration and healing.
With a strong background in cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems, and attachment theory, I draw upon a wide variety of methodologies and techniques to tailor an approach best suited to meet individual clients' concerns and needs. I am not a medical doctor and do not prescribe drugs or make medical judgments.
